Farfisa Mini Compact

about

In 1997 I purchased a Farfisa Mini Compact organ from Jed Parish of The Gravel Pit for $50. The deal went down in the alley behind The Paradise in Boston, MA
You can tell that I was excited about this piece of equipment because it is featured on almost every track on this collection. This was due to the fact that I had nothing very unique to use on these recordings and I definitely went overboard on the farfisa during this period.

I seem to remember this jam being a test for plugging the farfisa straight into the Tascam to see if I could get it sounding good. I must have enjoyed the drum machine groove I programmed because this thing goes on.....forever. Mini Compact? No.

Why, do you ask, did I pick this recording when I had 60 others to choose from? I'm not sure....just because.

Side note: Around 3 years ago I was driving to lunch in my neighborhood with a friend and found another Mini Compact sitting out in someones trash. I took a u-turn and grabbed it. It didn't work so I sold it. I don't need two of them.
